i lived in plano for 18 years and left for college far, far away . . . i’ve only returned a handful of times for things like weddings, graduations, to see the folks, etc. sometimes i yearn for a nice backyard and space to park my car, but after a visit of only two days, i’ve already had enough (you can only eat so much of henry’s homemade ice cream and braum’s limeade). it’s kind of a blah place to grow up (there’s nothing to do but eat, shop, and watch movies), but i suppose it isn’t all that expensive, property-wise. the public schools were quite good, if you were geeky like me and wanted to do well. it’s easy to get lost in the crowd at the large plano schools.
