Rochester

I was born there, and Rochester is a beautiful place. Live there!

Rochester is a beautiful city. Sure it has it’s problems, like any other city, but it has history, character, and beauty. My boyfriend lives in a Rochester suburb and he has taken me all over the city. We’ve spent hours walking around the city, we’ve been on the biking trails, hiking trails, we’ve been to the canals, the parks, the pier…there is always something going on somewhere, we never run out of things to do.

I think alot of times, especially when one lives in an area, they become immune to it’s glory. I have been traveling to Rochester for 10 months, and I am still in awe when I’m there.

I grew up here…the Lilac Festival is my favorite time of the year.

This place was really cool. Me and my fam rented a car and drove all the way. We did a lot of stuff. And we saw a R2D2 mail box!

We got lost looking for Water Street. We asked about 13 people, and everyone told us it was “right over that way”.

That didn’t help.

I’ve lived right outside of Rochester all of my life. There are good places to go if you look hard enough. I like the Bugjar, for shows, and the Village Gate, for records and comics. And once and a while I’ll go to the Dinosaur with my dad and we’ll watch hockey. The roads are ridiculous, and it’s pretty dirty. Nothing special, but it’s fun if you make it fun.

Fairly nice suburbs, especially with leaves starting to change color in fall. I’m not fond of the city itself, though… nothing special!

Hi,

I'd like to find other musicians, you don't have to be great only passionate, who'd like to find and explore all the coffeehouses and other low cost or free music experiences around Rochester.  I want to sample all types of music, rock, bluegrass, acoustic, folk, and whatever else is out there.

I'm looking to go a little out of mainstream and stretch my boundaries, watch other musicians play and just absorb and learn.  My budget is limited, so let's estimate no more than $10 ticket price per event.  If you're really passionate about the genre or band, even better, I'd like to hear music I'm unfamilair with through the ears of someone who loves it.

pretty boring place. i know some nice people there. it was more about visit them than visiting the actual city.
