Affordable, diverse, and ideally located Philips park, a beautiful public park with a sucken garden, Mastodon Lake, zoo, and visitor center. FREE. We have three branches of our public library system and a rolling book mobile library. A new branch of the Waubonsee Community College is currently being finished in downtown Aurora. Aurora University is a private college in a picturesque neighborhood. Downtown offers several wonderful places to dine, the Casino, and the Paramount Arts Center for theater or other live entertainment. Walter Payton’s Roundhouse and Micro-brewery; an outlet mall right off the tollway; and a nature trail that meanders along the Fox River add to the experience of living here or visiting. Aurora has two outdoor water parks,an indoor water park and three community centers. Blackberry Historical Farm is a park with many activities for the entire family. Aurora has many different places of worship for a diverse population. A great place to grow up and live.
