Colorado Springs

CO Springs is a pleasant place to see sights like Garden of the Gods, the Cadet Chapel, Pike’s Peak and Manitou Cliff Dwellings…however, be aware that if you are liberal it’s a trap due to its conservative Focus on the Family headquarters.

I’m such a dork, when I entered this entry, I meant to say that I wanted to live there. I was born there, and lived there for a week sometime in the 90’s, but you can’t smoke cigarettes there so I moved to Denver….

My husband and I took our vacation in Colorado Springs in May 2007. I can honestly say that I have never been any place quite like it. The energy of Colorado Springs is unbelievable and after a week my husband and I agreed that we would love to relocate there. It is a small city but Denver is an hour away if you need the BIG city. The people are friendly and it is much more affordable than San Diego.

Must sees if you visit: Seven Falls, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs

My first trip here was when I was a student and ASME sent me here. Beautiful, but cold at the time.

This is, hands-down, no argument, no recall, my absolute favorite place in the entire world.
I don’t care where else you’re planning to go—be it Rome or London or Maui—cancel your trip and get to the Springs as quickly as you possibly can.
Do the Air Force Academy and Garden of the Gods and Pike’s Peak and all the regular stops.Then just spend some time in the city. Grab a latte from Starbucks. Drive around on Academy. Eat Panera. Go to Chipotle. It’s worth spending the rest of your life there.
And don’t skip out on New Life, even if you’ve never stepped inside a church in your life—now is your time. Do you really want to go all the way out there and have to say you didn’t stop by?

I was born and raised here. A little advice: dress in layers. You never know when the weather’s gonna change.

The most gorgeous place on the entire earth! I fell in love with Colorado.

GoG is probably the best spot there. I always suggest to go off the beaten trails, there are many of them around the park. Hiking isn’t walking on sidewalks surrounded by a grip of other people.

Manitou Springs is near, and really nifty. You have to try the bubbly water from the fountains on the main strip.

I thought Seven Falls to be a pretty big rip off, as well as Pikes Peak (oh, and don’t be fooled by their “world famous” donuts. They’re overpriced, dry, and not that tasty.). Pikes Peak is an interesting experience, though, if you’re not used to higher elevation. You’ll be feeling pretty happy up there, as long as you’re not prone to altitude sickness.

Don’t just go here for a trip, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood lol you should check out the Garden of the Gods rock formation, its pretty cool. its a beautiful city, but the people are very strange.
