I've lived here for 8 years

I’ve lived here for a couple of years, and even though I’m not too fond of the city. Some of the places in Miami are pretty cool. I like the beaches, the shopping, and some of the nightclubs in the downtown area are pretty much kick ass. I recommend Vagabonds. I also love the Aventura Mall. It’s probably the best mall in the Miami area. I live in Miami Lakes and it’s a very nice area, if you are in Miami Lakes, go to Main Street, it has many shops and restaraunts. If you’re in the southern parts of Miami, go to Coconut Grove, or Coral Gables. South Miami has the shops at Sunset, which is a very fun place to hang with your friends. Downtown Miami to me isn’t really that interesting, the only fun thing there is probably Bayside Marketplace, other than that it’s all courthouses, banks, and a bunch of cheap looking stores and shops. There is a Macy’s though. The metromover is a good way to go around downtown, and best of all it’s free. Just don’t get stuck in Downtown in the After Dark Hours, not pretty.

A tip I have about this place

Stay at the Albion Hotel on the corner of James and Lincoln in South Beach! Reasonably priced rooms and excellent location!

A tip I have about this place

I wasn’t able to explore most of the city because I was there for “work” and spent most of my time working and wandering around their public library… but I would definitely recommend their Historical Museum of Southern Florida right across from the library. It was quite interesting and a nice time killer. :)

I hope to go back to Miami some day and actually visit some more touristy areas, because it has a lot of potential.

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

I’ve only been to South Beach, while my parents and I were staying in Ft. Lauderdale. I’d like to explore it a little more though.
