I grew up here. You develop a special bond with a place after 15 years, and a variety of emotions come up whenever I return. There are things to do here, yes, but none of it strikes me as much of a draw. Perhaps if you are into politics and California history, you will enjoy a trip to the state capital building, Sutter’s Fort, or Old Town. Other than that, there are only things to pass the time. If you are traveling any sort of distance to get here, you’d be better off heading into San Francisco.

Sacramento would be a very nifty place to visit. I only lived there a few years. I did not like living there because the cost of living is higher than I was used to here in Oklahoma and I had some bad experiences but that does not make it a bad place. I would like to go back and visit some time but I do not think I will ever want to live there again.

I’d say it’s worth visiting once but not much more than that.

because I am from LA, lived in Berkeley and wanted to find a city with a small town feel, but with a city sensability. There are loads of resturants, bars and parks, recreation and schools. Definatly a great place to live, and close to all Northern Cal attractions, SF, Yosemite and only a 5 hour drive to LA!
