Las Vegas

Well, Vegas isn’t actually high on my list of places I’d like to go BUT. . . Today my bosses announced that if our Net Sales are up 10% at the end of the year. . . they’re taking everyone to Vegas!!! WOW. I LOVE my job! SO, I guess I better add it to the list. I’ll take a nearly free trip any day of the week!

I’m not sure what took me so long to get to Vegas. I really enjoyed my visit. I stayed at the Green Valley Ranch in Henderson and it was fabulous. I would recommend it.

I love Vegas!! I’ve been twice now and fully intend to go back ASAP!! It is faboulus!! Big, loud and tacky but it wouldn’t be Vegas if it wasn’t!!

Fantastic. Go on the week days if you can it gets crowded and spring is a good time to go.

As far as I am concerned (have been to Vegas 25 times) I could go just to sit in front of the Bellagio and watch the 27 different water shows…they are amazing and inspiring.

If you’re planning a trip to LV then you really need to check out this website before you go (it’s free!). They have Cirque du Soleil tix for half price, plus loads of other shows.

I live in LA and get Dodger tix through them for half price several times a year. They’re a quality site- no wondering if you’re actually going to get your tickets! In any case, check it out. :)

We stayed at Luxor, the big pyramid, so we were right in the middle of the cartoon looking half-scale-version-of-random-things buildings, pseudo-tropical landscaping, and glowing stripper show billboards.

But in contrast with all the over the top stuff going on outside, inside the hotels it was disappointingly more like a mall, with food court food, Starbucks, “shoppes”, and lots of blinking beeping machines.

I don’t think I would go out of my way to stay there again. Maybe if the hot tub was open later than 5 I would be less grumpy :)
