A ROMANTIC DAY-TRIP (SPRING ONLY) FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIANS IS THE FRESNO BLOSSOM TRAIL.  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

“California is the country’s top producer of peaches and plums, along with almonds, citrus and other fruit. Before all this luscious fruit ripens and ends up on our tables, the orchards put on an annual display of spring blossoms that are just as much of a treat for the eyes as their fruits are to the palate.
In Fresno County, the orchards are so beautiful that the local visitors’ bureau has organized a driving tour through them called the Fresno Blossom Trail.” http://www.driveblossomtrail.com

My husband and I like to pick fruit up from the “Blossom Trail Fruit Stand” Highway 180 & Reed Ave. They have a washing well where you can rinse your edibles. It’s become a tradition for us to pick up fresh fruit and pistachios and drive through the magnificent orchards on our way to the Giant Sequoias.

A tip I have about this place  — 2 years ago

    Not worth it!

There are things to do if you try hard enough, but even though things can get old. It is sometimes hard to know what’s going on in town, like in all the little local shows. Tower district is one of the neater places to visit. Definitely has personality. It’s just hard to grow up here and still be occupied. I am waiting to turn 21 because then i know there will be other things for me to do. But I still hate the town. I can’t imagine what people would visit here. Nothing is too exciting. I suppose, if you live in the right spot, then it is alright to raise a family. But after living in the Central Valley for my entire life, I am just so sick of this area.

I have a shirt that says “Fresno, it really does suck here”

I want to move out of this city because there is nothing to do here. I guess living in a place like Fresno enables me to be motivated to do something elsewhere.

Fresno is where I spent a majority of my younger life- and where most of my old friends reside. I like the new shopping center they put in! Lots of Starbucks. ;)

possibly the best compliation of multiple ethnic communities withi one city. over 50 ethnic groups and 70 languages, if i recall correctly. (much better than most smaller cities with onlt 2 or 4 ethnic groups, not to mention resteraunt types.

    A bad rap  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Especially from people that live, or have lived here. This town is far from boring. I suspect that people who say fresno is boring are people who lack any imagination and are easilly bored…thus boring people. I added a bunch of places within fresno for locals and visitors to check out. I challenge anyone to check out this list of places to go and things to do and still say Fresno is a boring hick town. It’s a town with history, and character with great locally owned shops and clubs to give you a much more personal experience than the hustle and bustle of big city corporate businesses can offer. If you live here and haven’t been to at least half these places, then shame on you for not knowing your own home.
