It’s my native hometown! It’s so great to go back every now and then, even though I spent so little of my life there. Really, really great city. Best Chinese food I’ve had in my entire life. Interesting historical landmarks. The Ferry Building is my new place of worship. There’s something for everyone here.

San Francisco History
In 1776, the Spanish established a fort at the Golden Gate and a mission named for Francis of Assisi. The California Gold Rush in 1848 propelled the city into a period of rapid growth, transforming it into the largest city on the West Coast at the time. After being devastated by the 1906 earthquake and fire, San Francisco was quickly rebuilt, hosting the Panama-Pacific International Exposition nine years later. During World War II, San Francisco was the port of embarkation for service members shipping out to the Pacific Theater. After the war, the confluence of returning servicemen, massive immigration, liberalizing attitudes, and other factors led to the Summer of Love and the gay rights movement, cementing San Francisco as a liberal bastion in the United States.
This is a little of the history of San Francisco if you any time in your vacations doesn’t have any to do go and visit it. In San Francisco there are some beautiful and historical places to visit:

I was born here
Now I am in Utah, but I spent the first 2 years of my life living here on Twin Peaks, and then visting my grandmother there regularly until I was 10. I actually lived in the SF Bay Area for over 50 years, and in some ways it is still home. I have a lot of family that still lives there.
But I am glad that I moved. I love living in the mountains, having 4 real seasons, and my lifestyle here is much less stressful and more relaxed. I love to go to SF for visits, I love coming home to my Utah mountains even more.

I really liked what I did see of San Fran. I wish I had more time to see more of it, but alas, I only had one day. I will go back.
