Worth visiting!
I loved it! My favorite parts were the El, Gino’s East, the Shedd Aquarium, and the John Hancock Observatory. I also saw Wicked here. Excellent.

Few places in US have a better summer than Chicago.
The weather, the lakefront, the taste of chicago, the navy pier.. the list goes on.
The summers there make the winters worth living.

One of my best friends lives in Chicago, and while I haven’t been in the Winter, I LOVE that city. Very real, people are nice, amazing art institute, terrific restaurants. Don’t miss The Bean.

I used to live on the outskirts of Chicago. I now live in a small town in Kentucky and am longing to go back to the city. Most of the people in this hicktown are so sheltered and oblivious about city life. Most of them have never been to a museum and viewed a dinosaur skelton, seen a play, been to a massive zoo or aquarium, seen a skyline, rode a train, been at a stoplight for an hour, or looked up at a skyscraper. It is insane. Chicago, my love, I will be back soon. <3

Chicago changed my life because, if I hadn’t moved there, I’d probably still be stuck in Terre Haute, IN where some of my relatives still live and have never gone anywhere else!
It’s the third largest city in the US and the only one of the big three I’d be willing to live in.
The history, architecture, cuisine, culture and tourist opportunities are all fantastic! I’m not fond of the weather, however. I used to call it “the worst of all worlds.” The weather is cold and damp (and windy) in the winter—the kind of cold that seeps into your bones. In the summer, it’s hot and very humid!
The summer is an excellent time to visit, however. The breezes off of Lake Michigan make it more comfortable. There are also many concerts and outdoor events in the summer. An architectural boat tour or a ride out onto the lake is very nice! There is also lots of oudoor dining in Chicago, which I love.

I’ve been here before, but didn’t enjoy it. So hopefully soon I’ll take a train, or drive, out to good ol’ Chicago and fully experience and enjoy it :)
