Monclova

I went with my husband in 1994 to visit his family. This was such a culture shock to me. I really took the life I had for granted. They did not have indoor plumbing and had to do alot of work to just wash the dishes inside. Did I mention it was in December and cold. I complained alot I was so spoiled. There were thing that I loved. Going to the bathroom out side in a real outhouse with cracks in the boards and everything was not one of them neither was getting head lice from all the little kids running aroung. The weirdest thing though was when I went to buy a soda at the store the man had to open the bottle top for me and he started to pour out my pop, I was like “what are you doing?” he poured my pop into a baggy and put a straw in it and tied a rubber band around the straw and handed me (a bag of pop) my soda. They have strick recycling rules there. We did end up having a great time even with the head lice. The People where so nice and everwhere we went they had food for us.
