Ohanapecosh Campground

I had a great time during my three days here this summer, and am especially glad I went. The recent flooding damaged several of the campsites and roads surrounding Mt. Rainier National Park.

We did a late season fall camping trip there a couple weeks ago and had a little excitement around the campfire Saturday night, there was a 4.5 earthquake near Mt Rainier and the campground was only about 8 miles from the epicenter! We were all really surprised by the shaking, and a couple after-shocks. None of our friends back in Seattle felt it, but I guess since we were so close it was much more noticeable. Some fun camping trip entertainment!
