Saltillo

Not your typical Mexican city. Very modern. Out in the middle of a desert. Enjoy the scenery.

I love the food in Saltillo. I try to go to Tio Georges when I’m in town. Apanitas is also a great place for Tortas.
It’s an old city that is becomming the little Detroit of Mexico with General Motors and DiamlerChrysler plants in town.

I lived here for 8 years. And now I go back every month. It’s kinda boring, but it has some interesting places like Museo del desierto, Museo de las aves and the buildings downtown (the historical center).

Very authentic Mexican town/city. Beautiful historical downtown and awesome museums: Bird Museum and Museo Del Desierto, which has everythign in it :)

I stayed in Saltillo with the family of my college roomate – helping with their ranch. Wonderful people. City is comfortably modest and very social in the evening. Would love to visit again (if the police leave me alone).
