Regina

Drove through… ate… slept… hmmm not that much else to do besides sex in the car…

Well, there is the science centre…it was not that bad like everyone says, but of course there are more exciting places to visit than Regina.

I’m from Halifax and have been living in Regina for the past year. It’s pretty cool. I like Halifax better, mostly because it’s home. You have to look hard to find the best bits of Regina, but when you, it makes the city better.

Regina is very prairie, a small city, that has quite a bit of night life for the size (trad has had at least 2-4 gay bars). ITs only about 200,000 people and the drinking water leaves a lot to be desired but the parks, surrounding countryside is awesome. Extremely warm summers (for canada anyways) early and mid summer often has early evening storms that cools down the city.

...though I was on a band tour and only about 14. All we could find to do was ride the transit bus around it’s whole route.

I live in Regina and its a beautiful place, with malls, an agridome, taylor field, an exelent football and hockey team(Pats and Riders) waterslides, amusement park(no rides except bumper boats but the games rock!)an exibition(when its scheduled), mini golfing, movie theatres, restraunts, and SOO much more. i visited regina when i was pretty young – my family decided to take a road trip from toronto across to vancouver and then down the coast to san fran…

my brother and i had been bickering in the car since ontario and through manitoba, and by the time we hit saskatchewan we had contracted some horrible stomach flu, and all i remember of regina is that it is where we stopped (unplanned) because my brother and i could not stop throwing up in the back of the car.

i’m sure its a beautiful city, but my only memories of it include a sad hotel room and a lot of time spent with my head in a garbage can.

and REALLY HOT in the summer. The International Hostel here is also very nice and has a great location.

A pretty small city by most scales, but charming nonetheless. The central park with the leg building is worthing walking around.

Only passed through but it’s a lovely city.
