I’ve stayed in Kuching for 7 years. The best 7 years of my life. My Kuching friends are very special to me. They’re kind and friendly. I would expect you to like the locals just as much :)

Places to go? Just go to the reception area of your hotel. Brochures and brochures of destinations. You’ll enjoy everyone of them. The food is cheap and YUMMY! :)

You will have fun there. Otherwise, write to me and scold the hell out of me :P

there’s no place like home…

i have to say kuching is a great place to visit. beautiful sceneries, glorious food, and friendliest bunch of people.

it’s kinda slow-paced lifestyle back here in kuching. people even walk slowly on the street. and if you’re looking for peace of mind, kuching is the place.

a very clean city. free from ‘jerebu’

great city to live. only 30K lives here, streets are empty. very good place to find peace of mind. not too rural also. romantic spots are plenty. Waterpark besides river where you can sit and enjoy the sunset with ur love ones. definitely a must go place.

What else can I say, I study here!

Although it’s better to visit than to live in, I think. After a while, it could get a tad boring.

Absolutely beautiful! The city itself is great, green, hot and humid ;) Felt like a different world after visiting KL first.

Well, well. Kuching is not famous for the general public in Europe and that is a luck for us who has been there and wants to go again. The city is probably my favorite of all places in Malaysia as it is very beautiful and nice to wander around in.

As Kuching means Cat can be seen by number of statues and other landmarks. The city has a very pleasant riveria looking riverside with park, restaurants and hotels filling up the evening stroll with a smile on our faces.

The museum in the city is Asia’s best looking one and nearby the city there are a number of national parks that make you be one with nature.

Near the city is also the recreation area of Santobong that has beach and resort life. There is also a camp where you can rent cabbins up in the trees.

If you only going to goto one city in Borneo, better aim on this one. Malaysias best kept secret is ready for the attention.

Kuching’s an excellent place for people who like to explore the nooks and crannies of a city – there are plenty of nooks and crannies, as well as statues of giant cats (there’s a huge statue of a pineapple in a neighbouring town).

I’m still here, despite often telling myself that I’ll leave for bigger and brighter places where the neon lights never go out. The food is only one reason why I keep coming back.
