Worth visiting!
It felt really nice being here after the craziness of Bangalore. The palace is the most beautiful I have ever seen.

Kadur Inns is a good place to stay, on the highway between Bangalore and Mysore.

I went ages ago, and it’s probably my favourite “tourist” spot in South India. Being the capital of Mysore kingdom for years, it has palaces, temples, gardens, even a bird sanctuary some distance away (though you have to wake up really early to get there). It’s conveniently close to Bangalore, and has plenty of cheap hotels. You have to go there!

Mysore is an Indian town that is small enuff for a first time visitor to navigate, and big enuff for a seansoned traveler. People are friendly and for the most part honest. However as with many countries with high unemployment tourists are fair game. A form of english is spoken by most , and if they dnt speek english they know someone who does. Many Europeeins travel thru Mysore to other destination, it also makes avery good central point for meeting up with folks or to plan your next destination. Plenty of shops, yoga skools, parks, nightlife.Americans are rare. If you plan to visit India, Erope, Great Britain I suggest startin in India as you will meet English and Europeeins that can tell you about their countries and pbly invite you to visit them if you make it to there neck of the woods. I will definately visit India & Mysore again!
