Vadodara aka: Baroda

Baroda, a historic place, strong religious sentiment. Not to forget that Indian cricket team – usually has one or two players from just this town. As a cultural capital of Gujrat – it is vibrant.

It is slow, public transport is not good, lots of noise pollution. It is same as the any other Indian City Zoo – cows, monkeys, camels, dogs, cats, buffaloes and homo sapiens – all share all the resources – together.

It has more Gujrati eating places. No alcoholic drinks, no night life – really no – every thing closes at 21:00.

People are friendly, good English and Hindi is spoken – and one can live here as a tourist for USD 40 per day.

Can be – just drop by place.

Visited ‘Baroda’ often – have great friends here.
Also loved hanging out at Alkapuri. :)
Would love to return someday…

this city is my birthplace.. this is where i did my entire schooling & undergrad. Quite vibrant place.. good people, good food.
