Longjing

This is the central town for the Longjing Tea, which within china is a famous green tea.

The town is’t that exciting…just some houses and tea cafes.

It’s worth stopping here to admire the view of the tea fields, and to savor some of the local tea. The tea you will most likely be served is not the tea you will buy. It’s a lot better.

If you wish to buy the tea…make sure you taste the sample prior and make sure they package it in front of you. It’s a well known trick to change to worse tea in the back.

parking…the parking spaces in front of the cafe’s are not public..they are for the cafes only, if you try to park there they will get upset and call the traffic police. When you stop @ a cafe, they will watch and cover your parking costs. Cost is about 10RMB/drink.
