Zhuhai aka: 珠海

Very pleasant and colorful small city. Once nominated as a most romantic city of China. No wonder. I liked the feeling in here.

Been here for 4 months now and loving every minute of it. It is a young, vibrant city of something like 1 million – 30 years ago there were 100,000 – talk about growth.

I will be sad to leave in July when my contract finished :-(

Highlights include – New Yuanming Place, Gongbei, Seafood Market… (more to be added as I find the time)

Admittedly, I stayed near the Macanese border, so all I saw was the border-town shopping district.

Insane.

I’ve never seen so many shops in one place. Western consumer items and brands all over the place (fake? maybe … but definitely cheap).

I got a great hour-long massage for under $4. And I probably got ripped off.

It’s the most beautiful city in Guangdong Province. You can live in a house facing the sea, it’s peaceful and with romantic atmosphere. What’s more, it’s the city that won’t give you too much pressure and you can enjoy your life and job together.
