Small Town Big Hearts/Wide Eyes by tbe_global
I am teaching English at the local University. Sanming is small town but the people are very nice and like to stare at non-Chinese. It is a new city, meaning that it was built after 1949. There is not much history or anything special to see here other than people. However, it is a great place to relax. It is off the beaten path, many Chinese don’t even know where or what Sanming is. It is in the mountains of Fujian province, and it is about three hours to Fuzuo by bus and about six hours to Xiamen by train. The mountains are small hills compared to the Cascades by my home in Oregon. But the scenery is similiar to Oregon and it rains here just like there, only it gets colder here.
