Dhaka

Dhaka is a sad place. I had an opportunity to travel Asian countries. And my first impression when I got to Dhaka is… dirty. I understand that Dhaka is very poor country and the sanitation quality in poor country tend to be low because people are just busy to survive. But in Dhaka, it is not just that. It almost seem to be a part of culture. You visit a wealthy family’s house in Dhaka and inside house looks very clean. Then once you step outside, you see full of garbage on the street. They seems not to care about public street.
For example, when I was in vietnam and I was at the poor area of Vietnam. But the streets are much much cleaner. I heard that if you go to Bangladesh/India community in the USA, the streets tend to be really dirty, also. So, I think it may be really a part of culture.

And also it is very sad that the Dhaka has the largest slum.

This place is truly developing. A nation still being built!

The only place I’ve visited that felt like walking through a National Geographic magazine.

was back in 2003 when I was in my college , one of very few place where I could speak my language other than my country and people will understand. This place has a special place in my heart.

Our company has a branch office there, so I hope I can visit there for working in the future.

I was actually just there, my parents originate from there. Got back the 24 of July. It’s really neat to see the differance in culture and lifestyle from the U.S. It was an awesome experiance.

Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. It is one of the biggest cities not only in Asia but also in the whole world. The population of the city is now around 11 million. There are some nice spot to visit. But as it’s the capital it is too busy all the time. Be prepared for a hectic traffic. I was in this city for a total of 14 years. You can say I grew up in this city.

Though lifestyle is so busy here, I’d say it’s worth visiting.

My birthplace and It’s my country .. Great tropical country. Living there is difficult because of the govt. policy But of course it’ my country and i love it

don’t remember much but it’s really hot and humid there and there are really nice places

My family originated from here. It’s interesting to see people actually want to come here. XD

I lived here as a child. The lifestyles here were so different that from the West that I was constantly amazed. One of the most densely populated countries on Earth.
