Chesterfield

Passed through here a day before the floods. Good timing I think! And I think the crooked spire is really cool, I don’t know what you are so embarrassed about. After all, look at the leaning tower of pisa, and how popular that is.

Growing up here, I could not wait to escape, but the town does have some good points. It is a quintessentially not-quite-northern market town, and I’d advise taking an umbrella. The Crooked Spire (on St Mary’s Church in the town centre) is the first thing most people associate with the town, and unfortunately the last. The architecture of the town itself and the natural beauty of the surrounding areas are not to be missed.

Not my hometown but I’ve lived here for 4 years. I could tell you some stuff about it. But it’s like, not as good as Nottingham. Rock City baby!!! :D
