I happened on the Ballroom and learned of the importance of Blackpool in the ballroom dancing world. What a great quirky place.

Worth visiting!
Me and my brother go to Blackpool most summers with our dad. We usually stay in a bed and breakfast hotel over a long weekend.
The Blackpool Pleasure Beach theme park is definetly worth a visit. I went on the Pepsi Max Big One for the first time in about 2005, but the ride got stuck for half an hour halfway up the massive climb at the start of the ride. Talk about bad luck! Many of the other rides are also worth going on, I liked the Revolution and the tobbogan style ride (I can’t think what it’s called).
Walking along the promenade, you can see just how tacky the town actually is if you look in any of the shops. I’ve seen things here which should really belong in adult shops (you know what I mean).
Blackpool Tower is amazing though. The circus is always worth seeing, and they seem to change their acts quite often. Walking past the ballroom, you can see that it’s not extremely popular with most people apart from the elderly couples. Go to the top of the tower. Even if you’re scared like I was. There’s a glass floor at an area at the top of the tower, but you can get around it if you’re already scared to death. I was convinced to go outside by my dad and climb to the very top – which I did to my disbeleif. Go on and conquer your fears!
We also like to go to Ripley’s Beleive it or Not and the Sea Life Aquarium. They’re mostly fun for kids, but Ripley’s might freak out the little ones a bit – you’ve been warned.

I went back from seeing the lights and went to the car park. The stairs was slippy because of men from the pubs pissing on them and there was mud on em. My mum slipped over and hurt her head badly.

Yes, it’s getting to be a bit tatty & run down but it’s still the quintessential English seaside town.

The place is full of drunks and tattyness. Do not visit the carparks when it dark as they have stairs with wee all over it and somebody I was with slipped and injuryed their self badly.

quite frankly I think we are going to have a riot! Plus we can go up the tower! It’s not paris, but they have a big organ.

It’s tacky as hell but that’s what makes it so good! Well worth it! I think only British people can appreciate Blackpool though

Blackpool has lost it’s pride. It is tatty, unkempt, uncouth, loud, dirty, full of drunks, and not a good place to be. Blackpool is the place to visit on a hen night or a stag night – get drunk and throw up in the street, take a leak on the corner or smash a window or scratch a car. Blackpool used to be a proud place – but no more. Things have gone too far over the line and will cost too much to rebuild. Shame but true
