Sheffield

Home of the greatest football team (in S6), the mighty Sheffield Wednesday. Beyond that: Trams, steel, pork scratchings & yorkshire relish, all stuff you can’t get in Southampton

i like that its up north so the pints are a bit cheaper.

but if you have a world map or even a UK map and you have to choose 43 places, i dont see any reason to put sheffield on it, thats all.

Over the past decade or so Sheffield has had a major face lift. It is now recovered from the closure of the steel works and the arrival of Meadowhall out of town shopping centre. The city centre has been, and still is, being transformed. The Winter Gardens, the peace Gardens and the Millenium Galleries in the centre are perfect examples of how Sheffiel dhas grown and become a lovely, vibrant place to live.

Sheffield – my home city. I still love it despite being in London for 6 years.

My dad comes from here. it’s improved a lot in recent years. Good shopping, nice gardens and a good gallery in the centre too.

Sheffield has everything you could posibly want, it is vibrant with University life, concerts gallor and great places to eat. It is close to the Peak District Part with is a wonderful place for walking and photography.

I lived here briefly as a child. On the surface, it’s just another industrial Northern city, but it’s got a good heart under all that steel ore. :)
