City Review: Belfast
Belfast is a city in the United Kingdom. It is the largest city and capital of Northern Ireland and the province of Ulster, the second largest city on the island of Ireland. As the population within the city limits is about 275,000, about 750,000 people live in the Greater Belfast. It is located near the mouth of the River Lagan.
The area of Belfast became an important place in the 17th century and grew as commercial and industrial center in the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland and it was created in 1921. There were some important wars between catholics nationalists and protestants. The last of these conflicts occurred from 1969 until 1990.
This city has long winters, and in north Belfast, are the valleys of Antrim, in the county of Antrim, and the south are the mountains Castlereagh Hills in County Down. Mirando City, are Divis Mountain, Black Mountain and Cavehill.
Walking about the center of Belfast is a great form of getting to know the city, you can go to museums like Ulster Transport Museum, which is very interesting, other places to go would be the famous night clubs and concerts, plays and exhibitions in venues such as the Waterfront Hall and the Odyssey Arena.
After all, the city that inspired Narnia, Belfast, is full of surprises, such as the historical backgroung, with the wars and so, to the days we live now, that you can go and do some great shopping and eating, as well as many ways of entertainment, making Belfast just another great United Kingdom city, great to spend your vacations.
