    Not worth it!

Rock City is AMAZING! Saw Mindless Self Indulgence there and loved it.

Russ from National Express however, is a total arsehole. I asked him for some help with something and he said he didn’t work there! He had a badge on and everything.

Commerce Square is actually Market Square.(Map24 are wrong)

The entrances and exits in the shopping centre to Cliff Street are badly signed.

The Loggerheads is a dingy miserable pub with a rather too laid-back receptionist and there are wierd creepy hippie people living there.
But is’ bearable for one night.

that Nottingham is so full of life like it is, I honestly thought it was going to be very quaint and quiet.. heh BUT it was a pleasent surprise when it wasnt :D I love it there!! I have never seen grass soo GREEN! I was amazed to say the least… Everyone said that the castle wasnt that impressive but to me it was a castle and being from Jamaica any CASTLE is impressive lol. This was my first trip to Europe so everything was amazing. We went out on Saturday night and I had sooo much fun, all the people were so nice, accomodating and FUN!! I dont think I have ever had that much fun drinking and actually “BAR HOPPING” Here in Dallas you really have to drive everywhere so going out and drinking alot is not such a good idea. I think i did every tourist-esque thing you could possibly do in Nottingham, but there is so much to do there and so much history, it was fascinating. I loved the architechture and the churches were so gorgeous. The weather was surprisingly comfortable for it being the middle of February. I really had fun and I will prob be back in a few months, Hopefully next time I come I can stay longer. :D and venture out a bit .. to some of the more impressive castles ;P

Nottingham's best things - part one:  — 2 years ago
The best places in Nottingham (part one):
    • The rescue rooms – for obscure indie music, pizza burgers and curley fries (we heart you Jimmy’s kitchen), poser indie girls with polka dots and white blonde hair, classy low ‘whore’ pink lighting, the super friendly staff of Jimmys kitchen Vs. the perpetually pissed off bar staff, general filth, big tables and board games. you gotta love it.
    • Stealth- connected to the rooms by an internal door, its hard not to get lost in this clubs many verious rooms of debauchery and delight. Saturday nights brings Rescue rooms Vs. Stealth, try the ultimate stealth challenge and stay til closing..at 6am.
    • “Meet you by the Lions”...an institution.
    • Lee Rosey’s tea shop – tea galore, tasty cake, cool surroundings and fruit smoothies so fresh and thick they really require a shovel.
    • Chocolate utopia – delish chocolates hand made in store for all to see. lovely.
    • Hockley – in all its general wonderfulness. home to hippie shops and vintage ones alike, fresh, lee roseys, the Broadway cinema, many a hip bar, 28 -for the coolest hairdo in Nottingham (have your hair washed by a pretty emo boy and cut by a french chick)...the best area of nottingham without a doubt

Well I visited here for a week when I was 10/11 in the late 80’s. Yeah, I was a kid, but it rocked. But I can’t say anything beyond what it was like through a child’s eyes. :P

I am going back in a few months and will be staying in West Bridgeford…when one says “the guns”...what is that? Guns as is bang bang or slang for…? Sorry, I’d rather ask then sound dumb later. Please don’t laugh :P
