A funky town with character and coolness  — 1 week ago

Bristol was my favourite city out of the ones I’ve been to in England. Good public spaces, nice art, and the old, ornate buildings are balanced out with interesting newer designs. Unlike most English or UK cities, Bristol seems to be able to balance old and new and make it owrth looking at. Like all UK cities, there are old and run-down parts, but even most of those still have life. The people were nicer and the place was funkier, with the market being a haven for alternative people.

I’ve been to the coach station and the Bristol Parkway station, oh and Temple Meads. But Massive Attack are from there and a few friends have lived there too so it must be pretty cool.

I love Bristol. It is close enough to home for me to be able to commute to work there, yet far away enough for me to be able to buy a house by the seaside and not have to deal with living in the city in a rented bedsit for the rest of my life.
Anyway. You cannot go wrong in Bristol. Music venues, theatre, clubs, bars, restaurants, park, shops, market, zoo, museums, art cinema, multiplex…everything I could ever want and need.
