The City Of Natural Beauty and Mental Peace :) by Sarah_7_7

More Than 40 years ago , My great great Grand-Father decided to go on a trip to Switzerland . He was advised by lots to visit the city of Geneva . After visiting Geneva for the first time , without any hesitations he decided to buy a house there for the family .

40 years later here I am his great great grand-daughter Thanking him for being the reason that I visit this city more than twice a year !

Geneva , Switzerland . Words can’t explain the Beauty and Magnificence of this wonder-strucking city .

Just a walk by “Lac lemain” can be the answer to all your life problems.

Geneva’s natural landscape is like medicine to the eyes !

It’s beautiful !

Spring , Summer , Autumn and Winter ..All year round :)

As soon as you step foot in Geneva , you somehow , miraculously , feel NEW !

Believe me it’s Magic :)

Here’s a picture of my “Happy Place”

whenever I feel down I picture myself walking by The Geneva Lake :)

If you’ve ever been there , I know you feel the same way .

I’m seriously thinking about moving to this city, even though it’s hard to gain residency in that nation and get a job. Must brush up on my French!

Lived here for 1.5 years by mightymarce

My husband and I moved to Geneva as expats in late February, 2007. We lived here for a year and 1/2 (will be moving away next month). Geneva’s been great in that it’s a safe, easy city to get around with great public transit. It’s also perfectly located to get to explore Europe from here (especially with Easy Jet being based here). I’ve spent much time wandering around along Rue de Rive, along the lakeside, in Carouge, Plainpalais, etc. It may not be as exciting a city as, say, Paris, but it’s been a nice place to be.

The lake is beautiful – take a boat tour or just enjoy strolling alongside it. There were tons of expensive designer shops – we just looked at the window displays, it’s never a good sign when there are no price tags! My favourite sight was the Jet d’Eau fountain :)
