Funchal

This island has beautiful walkways and astounding coast lines. People are very nice and friendly. I have been there when they had a firework contenst summer 2005 – and that was something really very special. I have been there again for a SPA week in January. But wouldn’t recommend to go there that time of the year, unless you are 60 and over… But in Summer Time it’s a good mixture of young and old. Went to a great Salsa Nightclub next to the Casino-

my ancestors came from this city to brazil, to try a new life. their last name is the same as the city’s; i think they helped build the place. my grandmother says my greatgrandfather always wanted to return to the city os his birth, i guess i want to pay this visit for him.
