It not just the tourist attractions that make it worth it but rather just the city as a whole. Simply walking around is great. Also the food is amazing. over 2 years agoVenice was...magic by icekat83Venice was magic! I went there for a single day when I was 15 with my family and loved it. We saw glass blowers which was the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen and I felt like I’d stepped in to a fairy tale from when I was a kid with magic all around…one second there was a lump of pinkish glass and the next there was a horse. I have a dolphin I bought there and would go back in a heartbeat! over 2 years agoThe Most Beautiful Place I've Ever Been. by FinnI went 2 years ago with my friend and her mother, who are Italian. A group of us went because another friend of ours was leaving school, and we wanted to give her a really good leaving party. Used to live here. by Pancho VillaI lived here for 3 months for work and it was amazing, but I do think it is a crying shame that there are almost no locals at all, only tourists. That aside, it is a haunting, gorgeous, fascinating place. The food is so-so, so is the shopping, and you will get very, very lost. But it is unforgettable. over 3 years agoProbably the best tourist destination I've ever been to. by eipi10It’s just great. over 3 years agoUntitled by fokerellaWell, I used to go to Venice 3 or 4 times every year with my parents because we have some close friends there (in Malamocco – Lido). So I visited Venice a lot of time! Untitled by EmilyIt was cold and rainy, and my two day trip here came at the end of ten days of traveling the length of Italy by train, so I was a bit travel weary on top of everything. The vaporetto made me motion sick, the Grand Canal flooded Piazza San Marco, and the streets were impossible to navigate. over 3 years agoSee all 413 entries |
