siracusa is full of such intersting places the greek theatre that hugh cut in to the hill side, the catacombes, churches, everyone in history romans greek Byzantines all lived here and have left thier mark on the ciry, churches, mueasuams all woth a visit and even the modern new church shaped like a tear drops sticks out (you can’t miss it) is worth a visit , go and enjoy but plan an over night to see everything, you’ll only leave disapointed if you don’t.

What an amazing city. You can feel the antiquity of this place at every turn and what an amazing city to explore. Surrounded by water on 3 sides, the old city is simply fascinating and really rewards explorers.
