Pisa

The cathedral is amazingly beautiful. Take your time here. There is more than the tower to see.

I loved Pisa. Field of Miracles is very pretty – and worth it if you’re willing to pay out to see inside things or climb the tower (although i think of lot of people wouldn’t agree with me! and yes, Pisa isn’t the only leaning tower), but besides this there is just something so cool about this town! Something in the atmosphere!

but i have had better italian food in kansas city.

Plan to spend an afternoon tops here. See the leaning tower,the Duomo (which is actually cooler), and spend a little time in the market – but that’s about the extent of it.

I lived here summer of 06 and had a ood time. I didnt find much to do for some reason, besides spend money on the little trinkets they sell you around the corner before the leaning tower. Of course, there is the leaning tower to see! The domo was really cool, and everything is so beautiful. You could definitely just spend a day in the arena admiring what it took to make what you are seeing. Since the 1300 Nicholas Pisano I think is his name, started working on the tower. I dont think it was finished intil late in the 1400. Divinci got his idea for the pendelum when looking up at one of the chandeliers in the huge church there. Just a lot of history, and a LOT of people if you go in the summer time.

don’t spend too much time here. all it is is the three buildings. and good gelato.

Okay so this isn’t actually a rumor. But it is a cool fact. The leaning tower isn’t the only ne of the buildings in the piazza that is leaning….they ALL are!!! You neee to look very closely but you can tell.

While it isn’t the most enjoyable place to go, it is awesome to see the tower. Don’t go there for more than a few hours though, it is not a true taste of Italy. The tower makes a day trip worth it.

Took a side trip from Firenze to Pisa. Must say, that I was happy that I went, glad that the trains run regularly otherwise there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot (other than loads of stalls full of souvenirs) for this place to offer.

It’s one of those places that you’re glad that you got a chance to see while you were in the area, but definately not worth seeing if that’s the ONLY thing you wanna see/do.
