Has art progressed in the last 1500 years? Possibly not, the mosaics were awestriking. Perhaps the most incredible things I’ve ever seen.

The Byzantine cathedral here used to be the spiritual centerpiece of the government seat of the Byzantine Empire. In the light, the mosaics in the inside scintillate like stars. Worth the trip!
