Darmstadt

Loved to take the trolley around town, sit in cafes and have chocolate or coffee. Met an interesting guy there who was trying to learn better English and wanted to talk to my friend and I.

Went to late night dance clubs, etc. Fun.

There started yesterday a great modern art exhibition at the Mathildenhöhe.

Everyone knows Berlin, Munich (Oktoberfest) and Darmstadt. But Michelstadt is nice too… I live here (and for me it’s boring) but the tourists are so much interested in this city…

not far from Luisenplatz, kinda the city center I lived for about a 1/2 year, its not really an up and up kinda place, but its a convenient place to live, theres some good eateries there too.

Lived In Darmstadt for over a month with a university program. Loved every moment of it! Hope to go back. Many things do to in the area. Great shops and great museum in and around the area. Very close to Frankfurt!

We went to Darmstadt to see some friends and I didn’t expect it to be as beautiful and interesting as it is. Darmstadt is full of art nouveau buildings, it has a castle right in the center of the town, cute little streets, even a Hundertwasser house.

Aus den dreißigern gibt es einen Film, da wird Darmstadt “Die Stadt im Walde” genannt, heute nennt sie sich lieber Stadt der Künste (immerhin ist sie ein – wenn nicht das – Zentrum des Jugendstils oder ganz aktuell Wissenschaftsstadt.
