Augsburg

I was amazed at the Roman ruins around the city and the neat beergardens tucked around and nestled in the woods.

This small city has a beautiful feel and will always be close to my heart.

Check out Il Porchino near the University of Augsburg – the Italian food is impeccable.

I lived in Augsburg for 7 months (in 2004) and it was absolutely amazing. I loved the city. I loved the people. I loved my job. I loved it so much that I vowed to come back to Germany, and guess what? I DID!!

The only reason I went there in the first place was I applied to a random internship program (which was supposed to be just for the summer but I ended up extending it). But then I just had to get back there so I applied for jobs in Germany until I finally got one, and now I’m here. I’m not in Augsburg, but that’s ok – at least I’m in the same country!

If it hadn’t been for my experience in Augsburg, then I can GUARENTEE that I would have a different job right now, and would probably be living in Michigan.

Someday I have to go here…My father was born in Augsburg and I am dying to see what it’s like…I’ve heard it’s really great.

Was here with family (who was US Navy, stationed here) and I fell in love. I will def. be going back some day just for fun!

Stationed here with the US Army for a year. A nice town, friendly people, close to lots of other nice places.
