What can I say? I’m just not a city girl!

it was a dissapointment. we arrived there afternoon of eastern’s monday by train and it was impossibleto find an accomodation. we picked up two hostels from hostelworld but one of them is only open in summer time, the other one isn’t really a hostel, rather a college.
it was difficult to find a money-changer, but at least, there was one near to the train station.
smart town, but not really fit for turists.

I visited Brno in May 2006.

Brno is a nice city between Prague and Bratislava. I think it is OK to stop for an afternoon only if you are passing by; I think it does not deserves an individual plan.

The cathedral is pretty nice, and also some buildings in the city centre.

The castle is OK. I think it is “over maintained” so it has lost its historical feeling.

But, as I told you, stopping by for 3-4 hours is great!

There’s a hostel out in the country that is closed in the fall, and if you try to contact the owner he will throw bottles at you through the fence. But there’s a fancy spa/hotel just down the road where rooms are only $40! And beer across the street is 25 cents a glass!

Well, I’ve lived in Brno since fall 2002. Love it, actually.
