Bodø aka: Bodoe

I visited Bodø in 1984 as a US Marine taking part of a NATO exercise. It was the last place I thought I would ever visit but I found the scenery to be among the most breathtaking I have ever encountered. Mountains, sea, sky, snow, history, architecture and the aurora borealis.

If you’re searching for an un-ordinary vacation spot give Bodø, Norway a look.

The people, although somewhat timid in nature at first, are extremely friendly. Even though the temperature was sub-zero during my entire visit the cold is one of the last things I remember and the people and places are always the first.

I hope to return oneday before I die. If it were to be my last trip it would still be worthwhile.
