This is the third largest city in Thailand (Khorat is also a province), in the poorest region of Thailand, the Northeast which is also referred to as “Isan.” This doesnt seem to be a popular tourist destination in Thailand as there are no beaches. There are ancient pottery villages near Khorat (Dan Kwien), Khmer ruins, the city zoo, various temples, silk towns (Pak Thong Chai), sung neon ruins.
