Wareham

Well Wareham didn’t actually “change” my life, but more so unfolded it for me throughout the years. I was born and raised in Wareham, and spent a good 19 & a 1/2 years there. I still go back to visit my friends, and my family… and of course for doctor’s appointments. I will never call this place anything but “Home.”

My stepfather’s parents bought land here in the fifties. It’s not “the Cape” (isn’t over the canal) but it’s on Buzzard’s Bay and so far it’s not too touristy or crowded. My stepgrandparents went in with a bunch of other families. They pooled their money, bought up all this land, built houses and made the unused area around a wildlife reserve. You have to drive on this dirt road through a forest (with Deer!) to get to the house. You hear the ocean all the time and there’s hardly anyone around.

I lived here as a young girl. Came back in ‘99 to try to find the house I lived in. The house was located on the main strip just before the split, but I couldn’t find it.

my parents live here and I used to live here also, but I am getting homesick in the middle of stupid Kansas and want to go back to visit…
