Screw the MTV "Cool" shit, Cleveland is authentic and blossoming
I just got back from visiting my hometown and I had an amazing trip. Cleveland is incredible, it is becoming the city it always should have been. I spent the week grabbing grilled cheese and beer in Lakewood, hiking the lush Metroparks, and stumbling drunk around the Warehouse district and the Flats with buddies. Amazing restaurants, brats at the Westside Market and beers a quarter of the price of LA. I cant wait to get back

I am from Ohio
I am from a small town about 45 minutes outside of Cleveland. It used to be such an amazing city. It is fighting to come around. There are some great venues to see bands and the Great Lakes Brewery is awesome for drinks, food, and atmosphere. Catching a Cavs game and then food and drinks at Great Lakes is a pretty amazing way to spend a night.

The first time I went to this place
I visited for a weekend as part of the OLAC-MOUG Conference and, though busy with conference activities, had a lot of fun and definitely found Cleveland to be a place to visit again, particularly the Cleveland Art Museum, where the reception was held, which looks to be expanding greatly in the near future. A lot of interesting architecture, too.

So Many Good Times
It’s hard to just pick one Cleveland story, but I will try. One of my favoriite trips was when I ran the Cleveland Triathlon. I swam in the lake, biked on the ramps of OH-2, and ran through downtown. And what a great crowd. Everyone was cheering on everyone and having a good time. Even the competitors cheered each other in passing. I smiled during the whole race and can’t wait to do it again.
