Wouldn’t U rather that we make this city, Lagos a more com4table place 2 live in…my question is this: ” How can we all make it more thrilling to live in”. Assuming we had all the resources to do so….

It’s very different than what we’re used to in the states, but different is bad… it’s just – yep, different.

If you like no speed limits – you’ll love it.
If you prefer paved streets with marked lanes- you’ll hate it.

If you like mixing with people of various races – you’ll love it.
If you have an issue with black people – you’ll hate it.

If you enjoy cultural differences in fashion and amenities- you’ll love it.

If you want everything to smell and look like the states – you’ll hate it.

There is some unrest there in places and when I was going back in February there were news reports of abductions of foreigners. We didn’t go. That’s like everything…anything can happen anywhere. I have met some of the most hospitable, God loving, warm hearted people here. I’ll be headed back there next week.

then take acid. Congratulations! You are in Lagos circa 1978! The Third World was definitely third then…Thunderstorms with fish on the runway, and hotels with barbed wire at the windows. Out as fast as I could go.

I really want to go

I went in the Summer of 200 after not being there for over a decade. It was my first trip as an adult and with a parent. It was also the last time I saw my grand mother. She died 3 months after that visit. I fee so fortuneate that after so many years she finally got to see us. I would like to think she died happy becasue of that.
