Write an entry Entries about this placeUntitled by Tadeusz598It is a bit of a dump in the old centre, which is badly in need of rennovation. However, The market is worth visiting, as it has specacular displays of food, handicrafts and animals. The posh areas are cleaner with the usual anodyne shopping centres etc. Most of the reccomended restaurants are in the wealthy suburbs. The art centre is also rather beautiful. It looks like at Peanut Street (Rua do Amendoin) near the Pope Square (Praça do Papa), the cars go up the street with the engine turned off when they should go down the street. I have to say that the direction of some streets can really make us angry when you dont know the city so much, we found it out while my sister was doing her tests.
