Grew up here and live here. by orangetea

Not as trendy or as many career opportunities as other major cities, like Sydney or Melbourne, but still nice. Good nightlife and music scene in the CBD and Fortitude Valley, and pretty good shopping in and around Queen St Mall if you’re into labels. Not much to sightsee in my opinion, there is nothing too special about Brisbane, but still worth the visit for shopping, nightlife, or the parks. If you’re only visiting south-east queensland for a few days though, I would recommend by-passing Brisbane and sticking to the Gold or Sunshine Coasts or Hinterland.

Not such a bad city, quieter than other big cities in Australia I supposed but then again I’m not much for the hubbubs of big cities.

The traffic jam can be annoying though.

Beautiful by NoCuffs

I really enjoyed Brisbane though I spent a great deal of time in a suburb called Warana which was very pretty but was a bit of a cultural void. I had fun though parading around in my New Zealnd All Blacks Jersey. I would love to return. over 4 years ago
