Great town, lot’s of older buildings, a lot of heritage. There’s a n old mansion that’s been converted to a museum that’s pretty slick. It’s surrounding by ivy loaded trails.

A great place to hangout in Charleston is Taylor Books. Grab a cup of the Highland Grog coffee and relax

I just drove through this city on the way to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It looked beautiful! I can’t wait to go back and actually visit it.

this is where i am from! I love it in WV. i used to work at the Clay Center and it is a fabulous venue. I also lived behind the state capital right across the river from University of Charleston. On symphony sundays we could sit outside on our porch and listen to the symphony and watch the fireworks…i miss that place, especially in the summertime.

    Not worth it!

Grim, depressing little town nestled amongst the West Virginia hills and hollows. Scenic in a low-rent kind of way, but that’s about it.

well, i grew up there and live there when i’m not going to college. i think that you have to love your home. i think for me i love the mountains. that and some of the shops downtown. some areas of downtown look old. please ignore the meter maid in the picture. i think the picture might help you get what i mean when i say that the buildings look “old.”

i go to charleston at least twice a year on business. i think wv is a very beautiful state.. at least what i’ve seen. lots and lots of trees and beautiful old buildings.

the first time i went there was in the month of feb. i felt so stupid because i was wearing open toe shoes… everyone teased me calling me a true cali girl. heh. i learned my lesson. ;P

my dad lives there, which is really the only reason for me to visit, but it’s a relatively cute place. Cornucopia is a nice store for gifts, and the Blossom is a good place for dinner.

Most of my family lives just south of Charleston, so we’d go to Charleston three or four times a year when I was younger. It’s some of the most beautiful country in the US.
