Montpelier

Go to the Vermont Historical Society Museum. Good deal. Didn’t see much else in town, though. Such a tiny state capital!

Worst state capitol . . . ever. I had to live in Barre (right out side of Montpelier) because I went to school at NECI. It takes about 20 minutes to drive through Main Street, a stretch of about 4 or 5 blocks, because the traffic is horrendous, and pedestrians are encouraged by state laws to just walk out in the street to cross the road without looking. There’s nothing to do here.

My friends and I made a stop here for lunch after visiting Ben & Jerry’s in Waterbury. Although Montpelier is the capital of Vermont, it seems like the main activities of the town, uh city are focused on a short stretch of its main street. We ate at the culinary school restaurant. It’s a busy lunchtime crowd. Very pretty quaint place though.
