Lincoln

One of the most beautiful cities ever. I was born here and always enjoy returning :)

I’ve got a place at the uni here starting ‘08, I can’t wait!!! On the other hand, I wish my gap would last longer haha!!!

I’m from Southampton which, I’m told, is about five times the size of Lincoln so when I came to study at Lincoln University, I was quite surprised at how much there was to see and do. The town centre has a pretty good selection of shops and places to eat. If you’re looking for something to do, there’s an Odeon cinema and a Megabowl or if you’re feeling energetic enough to go up Steep Hill (not called that for nothing!), the art gallery and museums that are tucked away up there aren’t too bad either and Lincoln Cathedral should definitely not be missed!

If you’re more of a party animal than a historian, Lincoln has some excellent bars and clubs including Yates, Lloyds Bar and Walkabout. Definitely worth visiting at least once.

My favorite piece of art is the painting I purchased from the Usher Art Gallery! It’s a beautiful replica painting of the Glory Hole in 1860. To think that there are so many places in the world with so much history, it really amazes me! Even more mind blowing is that I was actually standing in this quaint historical location! This place isn’t known to the entire world, but to a select few of us, who can appreciate something so beautiful off the beaten path!!

I’m currently studying at the university here. It’s not a bad city to be fair. The cathedrals a sight to see!
