my first Swedish town by Peter
Having landed at Arlanda, it was right onto a train to Gävle. We had a short time there to cwait until our bus. Unhappily, we missed the connection. Happily, that gave us time to walk around. The town was scented with the namesake Gevalia coffee, and the autumn foliage set against the older buildings was an indelible image of Europeanness. Is that a word? Of course, I had to stop in and see the library….
