Århus

Arhus was the start of the Tall Ships Races Baltic 2007. I joined the Norwegian full rigged ship Sorlandet there for 4 weeks of amazing sailing. The party around the harbour was great and we were even treated to a concert from Bryan Adams. How cool is that?

Currently I’m a resident of Amsterdam, Netherlands. However, I still do consider myself an Århus local, having lived there for about 6 years on my own before moving away from Denmark.

It’s surprising that a city with so much going on has so little to say. Especially now that the party week has been going on. Any of you out there?

Spent 3 weeks there one summer with friends I met in the south of France who were hitchhiking. Drove them back to Denmark and then went to a great 3 day rock concert that was like Woodstock. Met some nice women who then invited me to visit them in Copenhagen and I went there too.

...went to this town b4. i saw the pictures, and it was very beautiful and seemed cozy. i really really long to go there.

...to live in.

Moved here some two months ago. So far it’s been a good experience. However I’m not sure it’s worth a holiday visit considdering the alternatives.

Arus is a nice getaway from Copenhagen, and an absolutely beautiful city. I love their cafe’s

in the university town

When I was there, there was an Austrailian bar not far from the place we were staying, they had a quiz night and it was so much fun! I can’t remember the name of the bar, but it was a great place to go and meet the locals, and have a fun night out.

Been living in Aarhus for 6 years. With the sea, the forests and the cozy Aarhus is a good and less busy alternative to Copenhagen.

.. and also spent the next 29 years ;-)
I know so much about this city I don’t know what to say.
