Volgograd aka: Stalingrad

I spent 5 weeks in Volgograd this summer. It was truly an eye opening experience. The students we met while we there were great to us and helped us so much. I have never had any Russia experience. I would recommend knowing A LOT of Russian, many people do not speak English and do they want to help you if you can’t speak to them.

I went for my best friend’s wedding. We had the greatest time, and I learned so much about Russia. And discovered caramels in pink wrappers with yellow chicks on them. Very good.
