Yay European adventure! :D over 5 years agoLiving Museum by sharm10I love Toledo.. its simply a living musuem.. the preserved walled city with many old buildings dates back 1000 years ago. Love the jewelry here as well over 5 years agoUntitled by iolairI’ve just been in Toledo for the first time, from Sunday to Tuesday. I’ve wanted to go for years, since I first saw El Greco’s painting of it, it captured my imagination It reminds me of other places. With the pretty old buildings, bridges and river it reminds me of Durham. The thin twisting streets remind me of Jerusalem (and yes, I got lost in both). The swallows (or are they swifts or housemartins?) circling around the city and especially the cathedral each evening remind me of Krakow. It’s a wonderful city. over 5 years agoSee all 27 entries |
